Flight Simulators
Well of course FPV quadcopters is about flying, right?! Before you go and spend a bunch of hard earned money and crash that beautiful new quadcopter into pieces, spend some time on a FPV flight simulator. With a computer and basic fpv transmitter, you can, for little investment, start to hone in your stick skills. Crash all you need to in the quadcopter flight simulator and just hit reset to try again! A few are listed below. Some have free or trial options. For example, TinyWhoopGo is free and FPV-Freerider has a limited/trial version. This is helpful to confirm that the software will run on your computer before you purchase. Most if not all of these have reasonable one time costs - certainly much less than the cost of a quadcopter! I would consider FPV Freerider and TinyWhoopGo the least complex (least amount of config/options) of the four simulators I have listed ; with Liftoff and Velocidrone having more features/options/complexity.
There is an excellent "how to" series from ~2016 by Joshua Bardwell based on FPV Freerider. It still very relevant and viable. Check it out !
